Phoenix Harmony

This is my first children's book, and I'm working on
my second, "Gertie Gets the Gimmes" I've always enjoyed writing, since composing my
first poem at age 6.
At 20, I took the Famous Writers correspondence course and soon got a job at a local newspaper
in Winston-Salem, NC.
I earned my BA in Communication, magna cum laude, from UNC-Greensboro, in 1978. I've since worked as an advertising copywriter for radio,
TV and ad agencies, and have published over
30 magazine articles. For 15 years.
My first book, published by Dell in 1980, was a humorous collaboration with an IRS agent called "In this Corner, the IRS." I also wrote three commissioned books, one on my adopted city, Greensboro (where I've lived since 1975), and have written two screenplays as well.
My proudest "creation,"  however, is my dear son Bing, now 23, who is now an actor in New York.
I'm also a certified yoga teacher (CYT). I got into Yoga in 1988 and began passing along my knowledge of Hatha and meditation in the mid-90s. I call my part-time business Holistic Yoga. I also enjoy singing soprano in church
and community choirs; theatre, concerts, films
and dance.

   Presenting the “DARKLES” series
The “Darkles” are the negative entities created when influences like misunderstanding, greed and envy
attack our children.
Initially overcome by these negative forces, the characters in our 8-part series eventually triumph
as they learn the meaning of true communication
and honest interaction with others.
In addition to his Quality of Life  series, Felton Wooten has authored two other books... My Daddy The Other Parent,
a touching collection of letters written to his daughters over the years, and How Not to Run a Business: 25 Critical Points to Growing a Business in a Recession,
